Whistler Photographer FAQs
Planning a wedding comes with a lot of moving pieces – and even more questions. I want you to feel grounded and confident every step of the way. Below you’ll find answers to some of the most common questions couples ask me. If there’s anything else on your mind, please reach out. I’m here to make this process as smooth, clear, and meaningful as possible for you both.

I photograph everything from intimate elopements to 300+ guest weddings. What matters most to me is creating space for you to connect with each other on your day – whether that’s a quiet moment in the forest or a packed dance floor with all your favourite people.
Calm, confident, and deeply rooted in connection. I want you to feel fully present on your wedding day. I’ll guide you when needed, step back when the moments unfold naturally, and make sure your photos feel like you – not a Pinterest checklist.
Experience, emotional intelligence, and a grounded approach. I’m here to help you create intentional space for connection, capture the real moments you didn’t even notice happening, and leave you feeling calmer and more yourself throughout the entire process.
Because you deserve time together on your wedding day. A mini elopement experience carves out intentional space to breathe, connect, and remember why you’re celebrating in the first place. Imagine sneaking away for 20 minutes to sip champagne by a river or share private vows overlooking the mountains – those are the moments that ground you.
Almost every couple tells me this at first. My approach isn’t about forced poses – it’s about guiding you into natural connection and moments. Within minutes, you’ll forget the camera is even there.
All of my collections include high-resolution edited images with printing rights, timeline planning guidance, vendor recommendations, and a photographer who genuinely cares about your experience – not just your photos.
Yes. I believe your photos deserve to live beyond a screen. I offer heirloom albums and fine art prints to keep your memories tangible and real for generations.
Of course. Love is love. My role is to celebrate and document your relationship exactly as you are, with safety, respect, and joy.
We embrace it. Rain, snow, mist, or sun – every weather pattern adds mood and story to your day. Plus, I always have backup plans to keep you warm, dry, and comfortable while still creating beautiful images.
You’ll receive a sneak peek within a few days, and your full gallery within 10-12 weeks. I know how excited you’ll be to relive it all.

In short – yes. A great planner is worth their weight in gold. They’ll handle logistics, timelines, and unexpected hiccups so you can focus on celebrating. You won’t even know about the little problems they’ve already solved behind the scenes.
Photography captures the feeling. Videography captures the sound, movement, and laughter. Hearing your partner’s vows again, listening to your dad’s speech years later, seeing the way your dress moved as you spun each other around – that’s something only video can preserve.
A content creator captures candid videos and behind-the-scenes moments specifically for social media. Think reels, TikToks, and phone footage of your day – ready within 48 hours. It lets your guests stay off their phones and be fully present, while you still get all the clips you want to share.
A bridal assistant is your personal right-hand human on the wedding day. They tidy your getting ready space, carry your shoes, fix ties, grab snacks, manage your dress, and make sure you’re stress-free. They anticipate needs you didn’t even know you had.
Definitely. Over the years I’ve built relationships with Whistler’s best planners, florists, caterers, hair and makeup teams, and videographers. I’d be happy to connect you with people who will care for you as deeply as I do.
Yes. While Whistler is home, I photograph weddings throughout BC and beyond. Wherever your story takes you, I’ll be there to document it with the same calm, grounded approach.
Absolutely. With 15+ years of local experience, I know these venues inside and out – from the mountain tops of Whistler Blackcomb to the intimate corners of Nita Lake Lodge. I’d love to help you find a space that feels right for your vision and story.
Absolutely. Creating a timeline that prioritizes connection, beautiful light, and enough breathing room for real moments is part of what I do best. I’ll work alongside your planner to ensure your day flows with ease.
For summer weekends in Whistler, 12-18 months in advance is ideal. For elopements or weekday weddings, 3-6 months often works. Reach out as soon as you’re considering dates to ensure availability.
Your wedding photos aren’t just images – they are memories and they are the way you’ll revisit this day for the rest of your lives. My photography collections begin at $3500, with most couples investing between $5000-$7000 depending on coverage and services. Adding video, content creation and bridal assistant is an additional cost.
I know choosing where to invest can feel overwhelming. I’m always happy to talk openly about pricing, what’s included, and what will create the most meaningful experience for you. This is an investment in your memories – and I want you to feel confident every step of the way.
