A Cheakamus Centre Wedding Surrounded by Mossy Forest

Isabel and Cameron’s wedding at Cheakamus Centre felt grounded, intentional, and deeply connected to the people and places that matter most to them.

They met the way so many great mountain love stories do — through friends, after a day of climbing, at a brewery neither of them expected the other to be at. One proper date followed, then another, and seven years later they were standing together in the rainforest, surrounded by friends and family, ready to get married.

First Look & A Helicopter Adventure into the Tantalus Range

After a first look near the hotel, we headed out for an adventure that felt very Isabel and Cam.

We took to the skies with Black Tusk Helicopters, flying into the Tantalus Range on a day that couldn’t have been better — high, fluffy clouds drifting through the peaks and soft light in every direction. Up there, the pace slowed right down. They shared a quiet moment, popped a bottle of prosecco, and took it all in before heading back to Squamish.

These kinds of moments — intentional pauses built into the timeline — often become the most meaningful part of the day.

An Intimate Rainforest Cheakamus Centre Wedding

Cheakamus Centre is one of Squamish’s most peaceful wedding locations. Set in a clearing in the rainforest, surrounded by moss-covered trees, it creates a naturally intimate atmosphere without needing much at all.

Isabel’s cousin, an officer in the Canadian Navy, officiated the ceremony — a beautiful family connection that added even more meaning to the moment. Music was performed by two of Isabel’s former classmates from music school, filling the forest with sound in a way that felt incredibly personal.

The ceremony was emotional, warm, and full of love — the kind that makes time feel like it slows down just a little.

After the ceremony, we took advantage of the beautiful light filtering through the trees for portraits around the property. Cheakamus Centre offers endless pockets of quiet forest, perfect for candid moments and relaxed photos without ever needing to go far.

Guests enjoyed lawn games and time together while Isabel and Cameron soaked in the post-ceremony glow.

Dinner, Dancing, and Celebrating Together

As the evening moved along, everyone gathered inside for dinner, speeches, and dancing. Like Isabel had been told, the day did move quickly — but it was filled with laughter, emotion, and candid moments with the people they love most.

From the helicopter adventure to the rainforest ceremony to the packed dance floor, their Cheakamus Centre wedding was a perfect reflection of who they are and the life they’re building together.
