A Pemberton Wedding Surrounded by Forests & Mountains
Some weddings are about grand gestures.
Some are about quiet, stolen moments.
Some are about pure joy — dancing with everyone you love as the mountains watch over you.
Kaitlyn and Erik’s Pemberton wedding was all of the above.

A Story Ten Years in the Making
These two met over a decade ago through friends, and officially started dating thanks to Bumble. Over the years, they’ve shared a love for adventure, travel, mountains, and good nights out dancing. Living together in Kitsilano with their cat Mikey (who yes, uses a human toilet), they’ve built a life full of shared laughs, exploration, and meaningful memories.
Erik popped the question the way their relationship has always unfolded — thoughtfully, intentionally, and with a sense of adventure. After a year of keeping the ring tucked away through trips to Europe and Yosemite, he finally asked Kaitlyn at the top of Panorama Ridge, after a challenging hike, followed by a week camping at Lilooette Lake. Mountain views, a little sweat, and a lot of heart — it couldn’t have been more them.
Pemberton Wedding: The Perfect Setting
The wedding took place at a stunning executive home in Pemberton Meadows. Surrounded by forest, mountains, and open skies, the property offered the perfect balance of intimacy and space for celebration. A willow tree stood as a natural backdrop for the ceremony, while the house itself allowed the couple and their wedding parties to get ready in separate rooms but still mingle and hang out — a photographer’s dream.
A rainy morning gave way to soft sun and clouds, perfect for portraits and capturing the gorgeous natural light of the day. Kaitlyn and Erik chose a private first look and a few portraits before the ceremony, giving them a quiet moment to soak it all in — including a special beer from the brewery where they had their first date, shared on a tucked-away deck couch.
A Ceremony Full of Laughter
The ceremony was heartfelt, personal, and upbeat — exactly like Kaitlyn and Erik. With personal vows, jokes that had everyone smiling, and an atmosphere of genuine joy, it was a ceremony that felt alive, fun, and deeply intimate, even with 100 guests in attendance.
Dinner, Sunset, and Dancing
Dinner was served as a catered BBQ under a beautifully lit tent on the front lawn, framed by mountains and open skies. The sunset offered perfect, golden light for photos, while speeches turned seamlessly into dancing that lasted well into the evening. Every detail reflected the couple’s personalities — adventurous, thoughtful, and full of laughter.
Candid, Meaningful Moments
From quiet, intimate moments to full-on dance-floor energy, the day was a perfect reflection of Kaitlyn and Erik. I made sure to capture:
- Emotional, candid moments during the ceremony
- Sweet, personal interactions between the couple
- Fun, energetic highlights of the reception
- The incredible Pemberton Meadows landscape as part of the story
The result? Photos that feel like their day felt — joyful, warm, and unforgettable.
Kaitlyn and Erik’s Pemberton wedding proves that a day built around connection, laughter, and intentional moments will always shine — rain or shine, BBQ or five-course, tented lawn or mountaintop.
